Values & Mission

Values

We are committed to Godly leadership by men and women with these spiritual gifts. These include the concepts of empowerment, servanthood, strategic focus, and intentionality.
Neh. 1-2, Romans 12:8, Acts 6:2-5.

We are committed to teach Bible-centered programs with integrity and authority. We will constantly evaluate our forms and methods to be innovative and culturally relevant being more concerned with effectiveness than tradition as long as it is in harmony with scripture.
2 Ti 3:16, 1 Chron. 12:32

We are committed to rely on both private and corporate prayer, in the conception, planning, and execution of all
the programs, activities, and events.
Matt. 7:7-11, James 5:13-18.

We are committed to the Great Commission and believe that lost people matter to God. So we will use every available Christ-honoring means to point them to the Father.
Luke 19:10, Mt. 28:8

We are committed to excellence that honors God and inspires people. As God gave his best (the Savior) we seek therefore to maintain that high standard of excellence in all our efforts and undertakings.
Col. 3:17, Malachi 1:6-14, Proverbs 27:17.

Mission

It is our mission of this organization to lead through godly example and prayer in order to provide a place of Christian learning and refreshment that points others to Christ and glorifies Him.

Tribes 4 Christ Common Ground

We accept those areas of doctrinal teaching on which, historically, there has been general agreement among all true Christians. Because of our specialized calling, we desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters, provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no such  interpretation shall become an issue which hinders the ministry to which God has called us.

The Word of God
The sole basis of our beliefs is the Bible, God’s infallible written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.
II Peter 1:20, 21

The Trinity
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons; that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.
Deut. 6:4; II Cor. 13:14

God the Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers a prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
John 3:16; I Tim. 6:15, 16; Eph. 4:6

Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit, became man without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionally atoning death, and bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in his perpetual intercession for His people. We believe in His personal return in power and glory personal to earth.
Matt. 1:20, 21; I Tim. 2:5, 6; Acts 1:9-11

Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide, enabling the believer to live the Godly life.
John 14:16, 17; John 16:8-11; Acts 1:8

Regeneration
We believe that man is totally depraved in that of himself he is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. We believe that salvation is the gift of God who brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning blood was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. We believe all men are sinners by nature and by choice, and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe in the water baptism of believers, symbolizing the believer’s union in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:23; I John 1:9; Eph. 2:8

Christian Conduct
We believe a Christian should live for the glory of God and the well being of his fellowmen; that his conduct should be blameless before the world; that he should be a faithful steward of his possessions; and that he should seek to realize for himself and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.
Phil. 3:10; Gal. 5:16, 22-25; James 1:27

Christian Liberty
We believe that every person has direct access to God, and is responsible to God alone in all matters of faith. While embracing Christian liberty, we reject personal preference in conflict or confusion with scripture. Therefore, we reject the concepts of sexual preference and pro-choice as being antithetical to scripture.
Heb. 10:18-22

Church Cooperation
We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ, and the evidence of that unity being shown by how we love one another. We believe in the local church and encourage every believer, as part of God’s family, to regularly attend the fellowship of His church.
Ps. 122:1; I Peter 2:5, 6; Col. 1:18

Christian Witness
We believe every believer has a scriptural mandate to share his life of faith in Christ. We believe the only Christ many will ever see is the Christ they see in us, thereby making our personal lives the most powerful influence for an effective Christian witness.
Matt. 28:19, 20; John 20:21; Matt. 5:16

The Last Things
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – those who are saved to the resurrection of life and eternal joy, and those who are lost to the resurrection of condemnation and endless suffering.
Rev. 22:12; I Thess. 4:16, 17; Luke 16:22-25

Satan and Hell
We believe in the personality of Satan, the prince and power of this world, and his ultimate defeat by Jesus Christ. We believe in a literal hell, a place prepared for Satan and his followers.
I Pet. 5:8; Eph. 2:2; Matt. 25:41

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Mark 16:15 (NIV)
